Minecraft Legends
We loved creating the Minecraft Legends brochure to promote the new action strategy game from the same legendary developers as the much-loved Minecraft. As occasional gamers ourselves, it was a real pleasure using the art of pop-ups to bring the game’s world to life, with its maps, weapons, characters, and enemies.

The Minecraft Legends brochure is nice and small, but it still packs a punch. Each of the three double spreads opens to an impressive, multi-layered pop-up. On spread one, there is a dynamic 3D rendition of the game’s concept art, with text in the foreground. The middle spread shows the Well of Fate, a tall beacon which players need to protect in the game. There is also a pop-up of all the different characters players can choose. Lastly, the third spread introduces all of the enemies that players will face during the game, including runts, brutes, piglins, and pigmadillos.
While designing the Minecraft Legends brochure, we really wanted to immerse readers in the game’s universe. To achieve this, we used pop-up mechanisms to make each spread interactive and engaging. Dials turn to reveal the game’s different maps, or the tools players will use to combat their enemies. Also, we added pull-tabs for readers to uncover extra bits of information on each page.
In addition to designing this brochure, we also arranged printing, assembly, and shipping to locations all across Europe. We were happy to hear from the client that the brochures were very popular with everyone who read them and helped create a buzz ahead of the game’s highly anticipated release.
