Teleton Foundation Book
The Teleton Foundation book was a big project, and we are really happy with how it turned out. It is an impressive, sizeable book, packed with pop-ups.
Format: Landscape
Client: Teleton Foundation
Size: 132mm x 210mm
The book tells the story of the Teleton Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Mexico that helps children with disabilities. Every year, the foundation does a huge televised broadcast that raises lots of money for medical units and rehabilitation centres. Teleton got in touch because they wanted to commemorate their 25th anniversary with a book, and we were more than happy to help.
The book has eight pop-up spreads, and each one depicts a different aspect of the organisation, from the televised charity events to the generous sponsors and donors. Each of the pop-ups has its own style and mechanisms. Some spreads include dials or flaps that lift to reveal bits of information. Others are tall and multi-layered. As a result, no two pages of the book are the same. There is also a pop-up rendition of the Teleton logo on the front cover of the book.
As well as designing the book, we organised printing and assembly in the United Kingdom, and then shipped all of the books overseas to Mexico City. When they received the books, Teleton sent them to donors and friends of the charity as a present, to thank them for all of their support over the years.
It was a pleasure to work with the Teleton Foundation and support their amazing cause. You can learn more about all of their important work on their website. We always enjoy creating pop-ups that support charities and non-profits, such as the book we recently made for SeaScapes conservation partnership. If you are interested in creating your own pop-up book, please get in touch.
