Two Turtle Doves 3d Card – Papersmyths’ Personal Card
Following the popularity of our partridge in a pear tree design, we created this two turtle doves 3d card. The birds perch on a Christmas wreath embellished with intricate leaves, berries and branches. The laser cut parts swing about in the breeze.
We carefully designed the laser-cut wreath to swivel gently when the card stands upright. As a result of this, it is more of a Christmas decoration than a greetings card. Indeed, friends and family who have received this card say they bring it out each winter! The card opens to a stylish spread with ‘Season’s Greetings’ in white lettering across a bold light blue background. Additionally, there is room to write a personalised message.
Two turtle doves are of course from the well-known Christmas carol, ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. Last Christmas, we designed our partridge greetings card, and we have decided to continue with the gifts of the carol. Therefore, this year’s design finalises our new theme. Each year, we will create a 3d laser cut for each of the twelve days of Christmas. Accordingly, our next Christmas card will feature a pop-up of three French hens!
